1 ½ ounces Wisher Beet Vodka ¼ ounce cranberry shrub ¼ ounce dry white vermouth ¼ ounce grenadine Pickled cranberries for garnish
Cranberry Shrub 1 cup fresh cranberries ¾ cup white wine vinegar ⅓ cup water ⅔ cup sugar 1 cinnamon stick ¼ teaspoon whole clove ¼ teaspoon black peppercorn
To make the cranberry shrub, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and a sachet tied with spices in a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce it to a simmer. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the cranberries and simmer for 5 minutes until the skins begin to burst and the berries soften. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture to a glass jar. Keep it refrigerated for 1-2 weeks.
For the cocktail, combine Wisher, cranberry shrub, vermouth, and grenadine in a shaker. Shake the mixture with ice, then strain it into a chilled glass. Garnish with pickled cranberries.
