Ingredients

1 ½ ounces Wisher Beet Vodka
½ ounce basil simple syrup
½ ounce lemon juice
Watermelon soda
Basil sprig for garnish

Blueberry Ice Cubes
Blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Watermelon Soda
Fresh watermelon

Basil Simple Syrup
¾ cup water
¾ cup sugar
½ cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

To prepare the watermelon soda, blend fresh watermelon and strain the juice. Mix 1 part water with 2 parts watermelon juice and carbonate the mixture.

For the blueberry ice cubes, use a large ice cube tray. Fill each cube with water and add a couple of blueberries before freezing.

To make the basil simple syrup, combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat, add basil leaves, cover the pot, and let the basil steep for 15 minutes. Strain the syrup into a storage container. It can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine Wisher, basil syrup, and lemon juice. Shake well, then strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with the blueberry ice cubes. Top it off with the prepared watermelon soda and garnish with a fresh basil sprig.
